A friend of a pregnant mum killed in London is trying to get the victim’s body home to her four children in Ireland.
A man was charged on Sunday with the murder of young mother-of-four Ailish Walsh, 28, who was allegedly stabbed to death last Thursday.
Ailish’s friend Teresa Cannon launched a Go Fund Me page to raise Stg£5,000 (€5,700) on Sunday – and today exceeded that amount.

Teresa revealed over Stg£8,000 (€9,133) had been raised to help the heartbroken family of Ailish, who friends say was pregnant with a baby girl.
She said: “Thanks to everyone so much. we have hit our target to get Ailish home with her family.
“But please keep sharing, as it will help the family with funeral costs.
“Whatever is left over will go to her four young children that she has left behind.
"Please keep sharing to get Ailish home back with her children, so they can say their goodbyes to their mum.
"Thank you all for your kind contributions.”
Ailish was pregnant with her fifth child when she was found unresponsive at an address in the Hackney area of east London.
Ailish, believed to be from Dublin, was pronounced dead at the scene and her family were informed.
A spokesperson at the Department of Foreign Affairs said it is “providing consular assistance” to her devastated loved ones.
He confirmed that the Dept is “aware of the case and is providing consular assistance”.
He added: "As with all consular cases, the Department does not comment on individual cases.”
London’s Metropolitan Police said they were called at about 10.20pm on Thursday to reports of an unresponsive woman at an address in Rectory Road, Hackney.
A spokesperson said: "Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A man appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Liam Taylor (37) of no fixed address was charged on Sunday with the Ailish’s murder. He is understood to have been Ailish's partner.
Teresa launched the fundraiser to cover the cost of “getting Ailish back home to Ireland” and for her funeral.
She paid tribute to Ailish and said: "She was an amazing young woman of 28 with four young children and a little girl on the way."
Teresa added: "I would like to try and raise as much money as we can to help the family with the funeral costs and getting Ailish back home to Ireland to put her at rest and be back with her family.
"I know times are hard at the moment, but you cannot imagine how hard this is for her family and children.
“So please, please, no matter how much, or how little, every penny will help."
People who donated money on the page also paid their respects to Ailish.
Ava Lucia Delacroix wrote that the killing had taken place in the house where she would be moving to.
“We would have been neighbours, but sadly we will never meet her.
“She was pregnant and is leaving behind four children.
“If you can help with a donation for her family and funeral, that would be wonderful. May she rest in peace.”
