Scots baby abuser left seven-month-old tot with 'bite marks' while rushing to footie match

A child abuser who bit a baby in the face and inflicted a "significant" injury has avoided jail.

Jordan Siveright left the seven-month-old girl screaming in pain with a vivid mark on her cheek that doctors suspected was caused by human teeth.

He was fined £500, ordered to pay £500 compensation, put on supervision for a year and given 200 hours unpaid work.

Siveright, 27, had been looking after the child but was rushing to get ready for a football match.

Jurors at the murder trial of Glasgow playpark victim Jamie Lee were show footage of a man slumping to the ground and being dragged away by a relative shortly after he was allegedly shot.

The short mobile phone clip was shown at the trial of Jordan Owens, 27, who is charged with murdering Jamie Lee, 23, in Castlemilk, Glasgow on July 8, 2017.

DC Martin Conlon had been tasked with studying the footage recorded that day.

Scots dad's DFS shock as glass table 'explodes' after shelling out £700

A Scots dad is fuming after his DFS glass table 'exploded' and 'shattered' all over his dining area.

When Malcolm Nicholson heard a 'loud bang like an explosion' while watching a Six Nations match on Saturday February 5, he thought something had happened to his French Doors due to strong winds outside.

But the firefighter was stunned to find his table was completely decimated, with shards of glass covering the dining area.

Money saving guru Martin Lewis updated his advice on what to do about your energy tariff as gas prices look set to rise due Russia invading Ukraine.

Wholesale gas prices rose by 40 per cent in one day due to the Russian invasion, leading to the Money Saving Expert being asked on his TV show if his 'do nothing' advice was still the best option.

Previously, Lewis had urged people to hold off on changing their providers, but has now updated his advice following the beginning of war in Europe.

This 'New Pence' 2p from 1983 could be worth as much as £1,700 (eBay)

Finding a few coins in your pocket or down the back of a couch is always good, but you should check your change carefully as they could be worth more than £1000.

A number of coins that are currently in circulation could bag you well over a grand with one particular 2p coin worth up to £1700.

Now and again, the Royal Mint issues a limited edition coin.
