Freshman safety transferring from Michigan State football

Transfer portal madness continued on Friday, and this time, it is going to affect a young safety for Michigan State.

Jaylen Thompson, a true freshman that received 3 starts in 2024, announced that he will be transferring from the program. He finished with 17 tackles and 1 pass defend in six games. He will carry three years of eligibility with him to his next stop.

According to Ryan O’Bleness of Rivals, the decision was derived around the want to be closer to home due to health issues within his family.
