Nottingham Forest are now unlikely to sign striker Jizz Hornkamp, despite having an interest in the Dutchman.
The Reds were linked with a move for the 24-year-old last week, but it now "doesn't look like" the move will happen after the Forest hierarchy moved on to new targets for the remainder of the summer transfer window.
Head coach Steve Cooper is looking to bolster his strike force following the arrival of Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin earlier this summer. Lewis Grabban moved on at the end of his contract this summer, while loanee Keinan Davis is back at Aston Villa.

The Athletic's Daniel Taylor tweeted: "Sadly - I know Twitter will be heartbroken - doesn’t look like Jizz Hornkamp is going to happen. #NFFC ownership has new targets/priorities and likely to be some big spending in next few weeks. Twelve in so far, seven out, and result last weekend showed squad still needs work."
Forest continue to be linked with Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler as Cooper looks to add to his midfield before the end of the summer transfer window. Left-back is also a position seemingly being looked at.
