League of Ireland First Division side Waterford FC have claimed they found an 'opposition analyst' filming their training sessions in an almost identical incident as the famous Leeds United 'Spygate' story.
The Blues, who are currently fifth in the Irish second-tier, play against fourth-place Galway United tomorrow night but there was no accusation as to which club the 'analyst' came from.
In a club statement posted to their Twitter account, they wrote: "We are disappointed to have discovered the “Opposition Analyst” of a certain club hiding filming our training session today as we prepare for tomorrow night’s game.

"Needless to say he was removed and the incident will be reported to the FAI."
The incident has drawn comparisons to Leeds United's 'Spygate' controversy, the term used to describe former manager Marcelo Bielsa's use of surveillance at opposition club's training sessions in 2019.
The Argentinian's methods were found out when a man that he'd sent to observe Derby County's session was confronted by police outside of their training ground and the club had to admit he was sent by Bielsa.
The EFL and FA conducted investigations into the incident but a day later, Bielsa famously held an emergency press conference in which he discussed how he'd done the same thing over a number of years against numerous opponents and gave a fascinating look behind the curtain of his scouting and analytical methods.
The fine came to £200,000, which Bielsa himself paid out of his own pocket, meaning there could be a similar fine ready for whichever team has 'spied' on Waterford.
