This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby has missed out on one of the biggest events of the showbiz year as the fallout from the departure of co-host Phillip Schofield continues. Schofield lost his jobs at ITV when he confessed to lying about his relationship with a much younger ITV colleague.
Now, several weeks later, Holly continues to host This Morning alongside the show's other presenters. Unfortunately, Holly and her fellow This Morning stars faced a disappointing blow when the 2023 TRIC Awards, held on Tuesday, saw a dazzling gathering of the UK's most renowned TV personalities, who came together to celebrate the achievements of online and on-screen productions.
However, the This Morning presenters chose to skip the event, and the popular program itself missed out on the Daytime TV award, which went to Channel 5's A Place In The Sun. According to a source from MailOnline, Holly had "prior commitments" that prevented her from attending and representing the show.
The show had won the award for the last four years. Hoilly did not attend the awards ceremony, which came straight after a busy weekend that saw her attend the |Glasyonbury Festival.
