Chelsea fans have been waiting patiently for their club to start making moves in the summer transfer window and it appears as though the action is starting to heat up. football.london understands personal terms have been agreed with Raheem Sterling over a move to become the first signing of the window.
Added to that, it is also understood that talks are at an advanced stage to secure a return for defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City. The work is unlikely to stop there though, as Thomas Tuchel hopes to add even more to his ranks.
One player to join may be Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who has been linked with a move to both Manchester United and the Blues. The Netherlands international could be a long-term option for Tuchel in the centre of the park, especially with both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in the final 12-months of their deals.

Amid the links, Spanish journalist Manu Sainz reports that the agent of de Jong is currently in London. The trip is meant for a discussion with the Red Devils, despite the interest from Chelsea, but being in the capital could prove a blessing for new Blues owner Todd Boehly in hijacking the talks.
The 25-year-old is said to prefer a move to Old Trafford that would see him reunite with former boss Erik ten Hag from his Ajax days. And speaking to TalkSPORT, former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere believes that United need de Jong more than Chelsea do.
“Man United need him more than Chelsea need him. I think he’s a great player, I watch him a lot. He’s very comfortable and silky on the ball, I think he would suit England, actually. He’s a bit like Pirlo but he’s got the ability to glide past players.”
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will try and hijack the move following Todd Boehly’s meeting in Barcelona.
