President Macron took to social media to share the good news, stating, 'Ofer Kalderon is free! We share the immense relief and joy of his loved ones after 483 days of unimaginable hell.' The ordeal began when Kalderon, aged 52, was abducted from kibbutz Nir Oz along with his son Erez, who was just 11 years old at the time, and his daughter Sahar, who was 16. Fortunately, Erez and Sahar were also released during the ceasefire in November 2023, reuniting the family after a harrowing experience.
