More than a dozen flights at London City Airport have been cancelled as freezing fog blankets the capital for a second morning on Wednesday.
Fourteen arriving and departing flights have been cancelled, and a flight arriving from Amsterdam has been delayed, as the Met Office issued a fog warning.
At least three British Airways flights set for Dusseldorf, Rotterdam and Florence were cancelled, as well as two arriving BA flights.
A London City Airport spokesperson warned passengers to expect delays and to check with their airline.
Fog disrupted services at the airport on Tuesday morning, while planes at Gatwick were “de-iced”.
However flights at Gatwick and Stansted airports are operating without issues on Wednesday morning, the Standard has been told.
Drivers are being urged to watch out for “dense patches of freezing fog” on roads across southern and eastern parts of England and Wales.
The Met Office has issued a yellow fog warning until 11am on Wednesday for London, Norwich, Bath and other parts of southeast England.
Visibility is expected to be as low as 50 to 100 metres in some places, before the fog clears for sunshine and a maximum temperature of 8C.
The Met Office warned that reduced visibility may lead to some travel disruption, which could lead to delays on bus and train services and cancelled flights.
While the fog may return on Wednesday night in rural parts, early cloud and light rain is expected on Thursday morning before clearing for a sunny day.
