Freeze the Fear's Diane Buswell weeps in fear of petrifying 500ft Alpine free-fall

Dianne Buswell weeps in terror as she considers Freeze the Fear’s final challenge - a petrifying bridge swing in which she must free-fall from 500ft under the guidance of Wim Hof.

The Strictly star, 33, is in tears in an exclusive clip as she tries to decide whether or not to make the leap, high above the Italian Alps.

In tomorrow’s final episode, she is the first of the eight celebrities to attempt the death-defying task. Already Tamzin Outhwaite, 51, has declared she’s ruled herself out (but has she really?)

Standing with Wim, Dianne is told that it is totally her choice to make.

"But climbing over the barrier and getting into the first position, she says tearfully: “I don’t think I can do this. I can’t visualise myself jumping. I have to be OK with the fact that I might not be as good as everyone else down there that can do this.”

But then Wim works his magic and tells her to relax, while host Lee Mack says he “really wants her to do it", because it would make the dancer happy, particularly after she failed to complete the swim under the ice last week.

Over the weeks the celebs have tested themselves with an array of dips and swims beneath the ice, extreme breathing exercises and endless cold showers.

Dutchman Hof, known as the Iceman, claims that the extreme cold helps individuals to harness power over their own brains, while also having a beneficial impact on the cardiovascular system.

Over their three weeks living together, the celebs have also opened up about past traumas, including bereavement, divorce, suicide, sexual abuse and an eating disorder.

Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof concludes on Tuesday 17 th May at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer
