Free days out and other freebies for Manchester mums this Mother's Day 2022

For some mums Mother's Day might be a chance to put their feet up and have a break.

If you've got younger ones the chances of that are pretty slim. You'll no doubt be looking for somewhere you can take the kids to have some family fun - without spending a fortune.

Well you're in luck, as there are loads of places in and around Manchester offering freebies for mums this Sunday. From days out to free meals, here's our round-up of what mums can do for free this weekend.

Dino Falls

To celebrate Mother’s Day mums will receive either a free round of golf or a free glass of prosecco when visiting Dino Falls Adventure Golf on Sunday. The venue, near the Trafford Centre, features a Rapids course and a Volcano course, with its own six-metre walk-through spouting volcano.

It's the biggest adventure golf attraction outside of London and features everything from a Tyrannosaurus Rex and baby Triceratops to Velociraptors and a Diplodocus. The site is open 7am to 10.30pm daily, with tickets costing £9 for adults, £7 for under 16s, or £28 for a family of two adults and two children. Additional children £5 each. Book online and show this offer on arrival.

Gulliver's World

Mums go free all weekend at all Gulliver's World sites, including Warrington and Matlock Bath. There are lots of family rides, shows and attractions, plus Gully and the gang will be there to entertain the little ones.

Mums go free on Saturday or Sunday when accompanied by at least one full paying person. Tickets cost £22 each for children and adults. Kids under 90cm go free. The theme park is open from 10.30am to 5pm this weekend.

Cockfields Farm

Mums go free at Cockfields Farm in Ashton-under-Lyne this Mother's Day weekend. There are loads of fun activities on throughout the day including the chance for little ones to cuddle the guinea pigs and rabbits, get up close with the baby goats and handle the reptiles.

You can plant a sunflower, have your photo taken on the Flower Wall, jump on the fairground carousel, enjoy a tractor ride and lots more. There are indoor and outdoor play areas, a cafe and a large free car park and one mum goes free with every full paying child.

Tickets cost £12 each, under ones £3. Book online here.

The Crocky Trail

The Crocky Trail near Chester is an outdoor adventure playground for children and adults alike - and mums tough enough to brave it this Sunday will get a free coffee and a piece of cake for their efforts.

With rides, a trail and challenges it’s the perfect way to have some quality family time and get some exercise for everyone. Run along the famous Crocky Trail scrambling through trees, climbing over crooked bridges and swinging over the fast flowing Crocky stream.

Tickets cost £15.50 for young people aged five to 21 and £10.50 for adults. Under fives go free and are excluded from a handful of the rides more suited to bigger kids. The trail is open 10am until 5pm. Book online.
