FREDERICTON — Police in Fredericton say they believe an Indigenous woman reported missing in December was likely the victim of foul play.
Investigators say 38-year-old Erin Brooks was last seen on Fredericton’s north side at the St. Mary’s Smoke Shop on Dec. 27.
The police force is asking people with information about Brooks's whereabouts to come forward and share what they know with police or Crime Stoppers.
Brooks, who is from the St. Mary's First Nation, was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark brown jacket and black boots.
Police say she is five feet three inches tall, weighs 115 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
The chief of the St. Mary’s First Nation, Allan Polchies, has said everyone in the community is praying for the safe return of the mother of four.
