Fred to start in Manchester United starting XI fans want to see vs Arsenal FC

Manchester United fans have called for Fred to start against Arsenal on Sunday.

United's fledging Premier League title hopes took a hit on Wednesday as their nine-game winning steak was brought to an end after Michael Olise's stunning late free-kick earned Crystal Palace a draw at Selhurst Park. That puts all the pressure on the trip to the Emirates.

Should United defeat the table-topping Gunners then they will move within five points - though Arsenal have a game in hand - of them but defeat will see that gap instead extend to 11. It will be a difficult game given the excellent form of Mikel Arteta's side, even more so as Casemiro won't be available.

The Brazilian lynchpin picked up a foolish booking against Palace which was his fifth of the season and thus he must now serve a one-game suspension. There has been a lot of debate on who should replace such a crucial player in midfield and MEN readers have seemingly settled on his compatriot Fred. They want him to take his place in a straight swap to join Christian Eriksen in playing behind Bruno Fernandes.

Otherwise, United fans don't want to see any changes with Wout Weghorst keeping his place up front given Anthony Martial's latest injury. Marcus Rashford and Antony would offer support from the flanks.

At the back, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue on the flanks while Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez will look to get back into the groove of playing alongside each other following the Argentine's return to league action from the off this week.

United starting XI fans want to see vs Arsenal: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Eriksen, Fred; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.
