Fred's Manchester United future is looking increasingly uncertain and the Brazilian midfielder has already detailed his stance over a potential transfer.
The Manchester Evening News revealed at the end of May that Fulham were interested in Fred, with manager Marco Silva a huge fan of the dynamic midfielder. The pair were spotted in conversation after United beat Fulham 2-1 at Old Trafford on the final day of the Premier League season.
The 30-year-old is one of several first-team fringe players said to be up for sale, with Erik ten Hag keen to trim the fat of the squad before investing in key areas. The likes of Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial are also available to potential suitors.
Fred has been pushed to the edges of the first-team picture this season following the arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. The pair, along with Bruno Fernandes, have been almost ever-present under Ten Hag, with Fred left to plug gaps when called upon.

United's hectic schedule means Fred has still managed 56 appearances across all competitions, but more than half - 33 - have come from the bench. The former Shakhtar Donetsk man did start in the FA Cup final defeat against Manchester City earlier this month, and was asked about his future after the final whistle.
“I still don’t know, I have to talk with my family, I still have one year left in my contract here," the midfielder admitted. "Now it’s holiday time and a good opportunity to rest.
“I’ll talk to my staff, to the club and see what is everyone’s decision. I do have to talk with Ten Hag as well, he’s the manager and the conversation has to involve everyone.
"We have to see how next season will plan out. I want to be important, I want to help the team, so we’ll see. But I’ve always been and still am very happy at Manchester United.”
After turning 30 in March, Fred may only have one major deal left in his career and will want that to be at a team that can give him more regular minutes. With United needing to raise funds for their own summer rebuild, a move away could benefit all parties.
The Brazilian has become less important to United's first-team plans since the arrival of Ten Hag, and with the Dutchman eyeing at least one top-class midfielder, he may well soon slip further down the pecking order.
