Frantic search launched for Scots man who vanished from hospital

Cops have launched an urgent search in an effort to trace a Scots man who vanished from hospital.

Officers say Jason Trotter, 37, was last seen leaving the Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock at around 18:30pm, on Thursday October 27. He has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

Jason is described as white, 5ft 6 inches, short brown hair. When he was last seen it is believed he was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.

Jason has links to the Irvine area, and police say he might have travelled there by bus or train.

A Police Scotland spokepserson urged anyone with information to come forward.

They said: "Anyone who may have seen Jason since this time or who has any information which could be relevant is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2954 of 27th October 2022."
