Frantic search launched for missing mum and daughter, 2, with 'chronic illness'

Police have launched an urgent search for a mum and her chronically ill toddler after they disappeared from their home.

Helen Shearwood was last seen at her property in Bidston, Merseyside on Tuesday, June 13, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 36-year-old is believed to have left the house with her two-year-old daughter Ivy, who has a chronic illness and requires daily medication.

A police spokesperson said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for their welfare and would appeal to Helen, or anyone who may have seen Helen and Ivy to contact us so we can ensure they are safe and well.

"If you see have seen Helen and her daughter please contact us via @MerPolCC on Twitter, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or pass on any sightings of Ivy via the form: https://www.merseyside.police.uk/ro/report/mp/v2/report-sighting-of-missing-person-form/ or any other information to @MerPolCC or 101."
