Police have launched an appeal to trace a 50-year-old man from Glasgow who has not been seen for more than three weeks. David McGinn, from the Cardonald area of the city, was last seen at Glasgow Central Station at around 1.37pm on Sunday January 15.
However, he has not been seen since and officers have been unable to ascertain his movements after this time. Police are pursuing a theory that he may have travelled south of the border to Preston, in Lancashire, as he is believed to have family in the area.
Mr McGinn is described as 5ft 9ins in height, bald and of medium build. An image released of the missing man by police shows him with a light grey goatee.
A description of the clothes he was wearing when he was last seen has not been issued by police.
Officers in Glasgow have asked the public to keep an eye out for the missing man, and to report any sighting or information to them as soon as possible.
Sergeant Iain McGillivray of Govan Police Office said: “I urge anyone who has seen David since 15th January 2023 to contact police.
"Even if what you know seems trivial or insignificant, please get in touch as every piece of information could help us find out where David may be.”
Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2162 of the 26th of January 2023.
