A frantic search has been launched by police to trace a missing 12-year-old girl who vanished from Ayr two days ago.
Jamie-Lee Harvey was last seen boarding a train bound for Glasgow at Ayr Station on Tuesday around 3.30pm.
Officers believe she left the train at Irvine and is currently still in the Irvine area.
Jamie-Lee is described as being 5ft tall, of medium build, with long light brown-coloured hair.
She was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, black jumper, black leggings and black trainers.
Sergeant Fraser Chisholm of Ayr Police Office said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen Jamie-Lee or has any information on her whereabouts to contact us.
“We understand that Jamie-Lee may have frequented the Irvine area and was last seen boarding a train from Ayr.
“We urge anyone who may have had a sighting of her to come forward.”
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 quoting reference number 2777 of March, 14 2023."
