Frankie Essex says she's 'scared' for son to get vaccine after hospital dash

Frankie Essex revealed she's 'scared' for her son Logan to get his jabs after he developed an abscess on his leg following a routine vaccination

The six-month-old was rushed to the hospital three times in October to cure the infection.

The little one had to go to the Royal London hospital to have the abscess removed. Frankie later filed a complaint at her local GP practice.

"After what happened in October, I’m scared for Logan to have his next vaccinations when they’re one. It’s measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) the next set, but we’ll come to that when we get there," she explained.

"I don’t know if he’ll get them… it’s obviously mine and Luke’s decision. At the minute, Luke’s like 100 per cent no at the doctor’s we’ve previously been to, anyway.

"We could take them private, and if that’s what we want to do then that’s what we’ll do."

She added in her OK! column: "They don’t get those until they’re one, so we’ll see how we feel then."

Frankie added that her children need to be 'protected' if they go on any holidays.

The star and her long-term boyfriend Luke Love welcomed their twins Luella and Logan in May this year.

She previously opened up about the emergency surgery after the hospital dash.

Their baby boy suffered a health scare after routine vaccinations caused an abscess on his leg, resulting in emergency surgery to remove and cure the infection.

His surgery left new parents Luke and Frankie 'terrified' as they waited for good news that Logan's surgery had gone well, and the tiny tot would pull through.

Speaking in her OK! column , Frankie said: "So on Monday morning we went to the doctors and by Monday night, something didn’t feel right so we took him to A&E.

"He ended up being put in an ambulance to another hospital. Then the next day he had a scan so they could confirm that it was an abscess.

"He then had to go to the Royal London hospital – so the third hospital – to have it removed."

The former TOWIE star described the ordeal as 'terrifying' for her and Luke, and although they asked for a different way to remove the abscess they were told surgery was the only option.

Whilst Logan was apparently fine throughout, he still needed to stay in the hospital for five days.
