Frank Warren issues brutal jibe to Dillian Whyte after calls for Tyson Fury rematch

Frank Warren has issued a brutal message to Dillian Whyte after he called for a rematch following his loss to Tyson Fury. Whyte claimed that Fury won by illegally pushing him after landing an uppercut in the sixth round. Whyte was second-best in all aspects on Saturday night when he came up against arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer in the history of the sport in the Gypsy King.

And although Whyte made it awkward for Fury at times, the Wythenshawe fighter was able to perform to his top level during the fight, displaying all his abilities and keeping Whyte out of range before dropping his opponent with a swift and stunning knockout in the sixth round.

Whyte looked frustrated throughout the fight, as he began swinging wildly early in the second round in an attempt to catch Fury with one big punch. But that never came, as Fury's slick ability to dip and dodge before landing his own shots proved just too much for the Body Snatcher.

It was an uppercut which was the decisive punch to end the fight but Whyte has claimed that it wasn't just the punch which earned Fury the win. After landing the devastating right hand, Fury motioned towards Whyte with a push - something the Londoner claims was an illegal move and that he deserves a rematch.

But promoter Warren says that is not likely. He told talkSPORT: "When I was younger I was asking to take Julia Roberts out, it never happened."

After the fight, Fury doubled down on his intentions to retire from professional boxing.

He said: "I am gonna go home with my wife and kids and become the second heavyweight after Rocky Marciano to retire undefeated - the two time ring magazine champion of the world. I was unbeatable at this game. I will not rule out exhibitions - I want to have fun and entertain. Big Francis Ngannou was here today - he's on my hitlist. Boxing ring, octagon, boxing gloves or UFC gloves - let's make it happen."
