Frank Reich, Bryce Young get first Panthers win on last-second field goal

It wasn’t pretty but when you are winless heading into Week 8, you will take a victory any way you can.

The Carolina Panthers defeated the Houston Texans, 15-13, on Sunday when Eddy Pineiro kicked a 23-yard field goal as time expired.

The victory was the first for first overall draft pick Bryce Young and the first for Frank Reich as Carolina’s coach.

As an aside, the game marked the first time the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 picks played in the same game in their rookie season.

Houston had CJ Stroud and Will Anderson, who went in order after Carolina took Young.

If you want to compare the QBs, Young was 22-of-31 for 235 yards and a TD pass.

Stroud was 16-of-24 for 140 yards.
