Frank Lampard's 'best in the league' message to Jack Harrison after Leeds United's Everton draw

Everton head coach Frank Lampard has said Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is "one of the best wingers in the Premier League" after last night's 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

The Toffees took the lead last night thanks to a calm and collected finish from young talent Anthony Gordon after just 17 minutes and despite the hosts having most of the ball, they were unable to find an equaliser before the break.

That goal did eventually come though, as summer signing Luis Sinisterra fired the ball past England international Jordan Pickford from 20 yards to level the game up.

In his post-match press conference last night, Lampard praised Harrison highly and noted how difficult the game was for his full-backs playing against the 25-year-old.

"I think Jack Harrison is one of the best wingers in the Premier League, there's no doubt in my mind. I've played with Jack and his development has been amazing and I wouldn't fancy playing against him!

"I thought [Nathan] Patterson was superb tonight because he was able to be compact in the back-four and also be on the attack going one-on-one against Jack, I think he more than held his own."

It's been an exciting season so far for Harrison, who shone in the 3-0 win over Lampard's former side Chelsea last week where he found a goal and an assist after finding two of the latter in the first two weeks of the season.

The 25-year-old has already spoken about his ambition to make the England World Cup squad this November and if his performances this season continue to improve, he has a good chance of having a seat on the plane to Qatar.
