Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has insisted that the Blues faithful will stand by the club after the travelling support were heard chanting in opposition of owner Todd Boehly.
Lampard's side made the trip to take on Bournemouth and managed to end their run of six straight defeats with a 3-1 win at the Vitality. While morale was boosted by the victory, the Chelsea fans in attendance made sure their feelings towards owner Boehly were heard and the interim boss was pressed for comment on the situation after the game.
He remained diplomatic and stopped short of sending any subtle digs in Boehly's direction, instead telling the media: "The fans have had lots of success. It's what they're used to. They will stick with the club, they're a fantastic group of fans.
"This is Chelsea Football Club. The fans have been used to a lot of success, that's what they want. I'm not going to comment on any of the stuff you're talking about but what I do know is the fans will stick with the club and they're a fantastic group of fans.
"I do know that there's a lot of intention to get this club where we want to be again. There's not one club out there of our size or anywhere near our size that hasn't had transitional periods.
"People would give their left arm to have the success we've had over the last 20 years, so we have to go again, work a bit and come back stronger next year."

The comments certainly aren't as scathing as the ones made in the aftermath of Tuesday night's defeat away at Arsenal, when Lampard hinted at his frustrations towards those above him in the club hierarchy.
"Chelsea has been a big success for 20 years but at the moment we aren’t in that position," Lampard told Sky Sports. “In the time I’ve been here it’s clear to see behind the scenes, on the training ground, the reasons why.
"If you’re going to be a nice team to play against all the time it doesn’t matter where you go. That won’t change overnight but we better get there quickly."
Instead, he opted to heap more praise on the travelling Chelsea fans for their efforts after the first win of his second spell at the helm against Bournemouth.
"Our fans were fantastic today, so I personally appreciate their support. We had a moment at that end of the pitch where everyone feels good for a day, I think that's important for the players and the fans."
The win sees Chelsea leapfrog Crystal Palace into 11th, though they remain three points behind local rivals Fulham, who sit 10th and prevent the Blues from entering the top half of the table.
