Frank Lampard outlines Everton approach for Arsenal game that can impact Tottenham top-four race

Frank Lampard has stated Everton will be at "full pelt" trying to get the right result at Arsenal, even though he has admitted he can "relax more" after his team secured Premier League survival on Thursday evening. Looking like a game which would have plenty riding on it on the final day with Everton needing the points in their bid to escape the drop and Arsenal in a battle for the top-four, the Toffees came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 to ensure they won't be playing Championship football next term.

Arsenal can, however, still secure Champions League football but they require a huge favour off Norwich City when they take on Spurs if that is to happen. A point will be enough for Tottenham to wrap up fourth unless there is a huge swing in goal difference and the Gunners beat Everton 16-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

While it is very much in Tottenham's hands going into the final day of the 2021/22 campaign, supporters will still be keeping a close eye on what happens in north London when Everton visit the capital. Not having the luxury of relaxing since taking on the Everton job in January due to their precarious position in the standings, Lampard has admitted it will be nice for his players to not have so much pressure going into a game and that he will also make a few alterations for those who haven't featured so much.

"I will, for sure! I'll relax more," said Lampard after the incredible 3-2 win against Crystal Palace. "I don't mean that in a light-hearted way because I understand Arsenal and Tottenham are in a battle, we'll go and do our absolute best to approach that game in the right way. I will.

"But at the same time yeah we haven't had that luxury [of relaxing] others have. We saw against Brentford, we were winning the game with 11 men, we saw against Palace in the first half - there's something nice about relaxing.

"Since my first day here we haven't had a game to relax. We absolutely haven't. Maybe that's the Premier League a little bit but our situation certainly enhanced that.

"It will be nice for the players, they deserve that. A couple of players who maybe haven't had opportunities will get opportunities, but we'll be at full pelt to try and get the right result."
