Everton will not be 'foolish' in their efforts to bolster their forward line, according to Frank Lampard.
The injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and sale of Richarlison has limited the Blues boss' options during the start of the season. After the defeat to Aston Villa, Lampard said the club was working to improve its forward threat.
But he stressed Calvert-Lewin was a fortnight into his recovery and should be available again next month. Any solution to the short term problem would have to take into account Calvert-Lewin's return to action, he added.

Everton have struggled to create chances without a recognised forward for the defeats to Chelsea and Aston Villa. And when opportunities have fallen their way they have failed to take them, the Blues' only strike an own goal from Villa's Lucas Digne.
They offered more of a direct threat when Salomon Rondon, suspended for the Chelsea match, was brought on against Villa but he was also in the process of returning to match fitness, Lampard said. He had highlighted a "void" in attacking options before Calvert-Lewin's injury and the club is looking to strengthen in that area.
Highlighting the context of that search, Lampard said: "Dominic has been injured for two weeks and it is a five or six week injury, so we have to have a bit of perspective. We are not going to be foolish on that part. We are going to try and find the right player that can maybe help us in the short term but in the long term complement the fact that we have Dominic at the club. We just have to assess all those things."
Calvert-Lewin, who missed a significant portion of last season due to injury, had impressed fitness coaches with the condition he returned in for pre-season and scored in the final friendly of the summer against Dynamo Kyiv before suffering a knee injury in training days before the start of the season.
