Frank Lampard has been handed a triple injury boost ahead of Chelsea's crucial Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Real Madrid on Wednesday night. The Blues qualified for the last-eight after beating Borussia Dortmund 2-1 on aggregate in the round of 16.
Lampard will need his best players to be fit and available if he is going to stand a chance of helping Chelsea progress into the Champions League semi-finals. N'Golo Kante is likely to be available for selection on Wednesday night after being left out of the squad that lost to Wolves.
Lampard confirmed that the club were just managing the Frenchman's minutes after he was sidelined with a hamstring injury since August last year - only recently returning to action. There was a big boost for the Blues' defensive options as Thiago Silva returned to first team training on Monday afternoon.

Silva has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at the end of February and has been such a key figure for Chelsea once again this season with the veteran defender already featuring 27 times in all competitions this term. Lampard was the man who brought Silva to Stamford Bridge in 2020 on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Mason Mount was a surprise inclusion in training ahead of the clash against Madrid. The England international may be available for selection as he has now returned from a pelvic injury.
Edouard Mendy was spotted training on grass for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair a fractured finger. The Senegalese goalkeeper lost his place as the Blues No. 1 goalkeeper under Graham Potter but could look to reclaim his starting spot in the team under Lampard if he returns to fitness before the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that he could use the same starting line-up which trounced Barcelona against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg. Speaking in the post-match press conference after Real Madrid's loss to Villarreal, Ancelotti teased his starting line-up to face the west London outfit.
The Italian said: "In terms of the Champions League, it’s a defeat that doesn’t change our mood for Wednesday’s game, which will be different. "I may repeat the same 11 from the Camp Nou.
"I made a lot of rotations today because the game against Barcelona demanded a lot from us physically and mentally."
