Frank Lampard refused to reveal what he told his Everton players after the defeat to Brighton - but has advised them on what they need to do next.
Not for the first time this season, Everton’s players were booed off at full-time as Brighton ran riot at Goodison Park. The 4-1 defeat also piled more pressure on Lampard.
Karou Mitoma fired the Seagulls ahead before three goals in six second-half minutes condemned the Blues to another Premier League defeat. Evan Ferguson, Solly March and Pascal Gross were all on target for Roberto de Zerbi’s side.

Demarai Gray made it two in two from the penalty spot in added time, but it was too little too late for this side. The Blues now find themselves one point above the relegation zone.
“I don’t think it is time to go to the dressing room talk. It is just the day after a result like that,” Lampard said when asked post-match what he told his players in the dressing room.
“I have been there many a time and it is just personal responsibility. That is every player and myself.
“What can I do better? What can I do better the next time? I think as long as you do that and don’t look left or right at anyone else that is the only reaction on days like today.”
And when asked about the three goals in six minutes, the Everton boss said: “You can’t come back from that in the game apart from show resilience and keep playing until the end of the game.
“Try and make things happen as you should do. Other than that, the reality is that in the Premier League at 4-0 it is going to be very tough to turn that around in half-an-hour.”
However, despite the latest setback, the Blues boss vowed to fight on amid mounting pressure around his job and called on his side to show more 'consistency' in their performances moving forward.
“I have seen enough on Saturday in terms of part of the performance and certain performances,” he said.
“What isn’t good enough is the consistency of the team to get results and we have to accept Brighton are a good team who have come here today and as I say, the look of the first-half was what we expected.
“The first-half I didn’t hate but obviously the six minutes is not good enough from us and if you are going to perform like that and defensively then you are going to lose games.”
