The Foreign Office has changed its guidance for people travelling to France from the UK.
It comes after passengers were last week warned of mass strike action across the European nation. Last Thursday, January 19, was dubbed "Black Thursday", with flights, trains, schools and more grinding to a halt.
A number of demonstrations also took place. The Local reports unions said it was to be the "first day of mobilisation" in their battle against Emmanuel Macon's plans to reform the French pension system.

Ahead of the protests, UK travellers were warned over specific travel disruptions, however the Foreign Office has now amended its guidance ahead of any further strikes.
Gov.uk now advises: "Planned industrial action in the UK and France in January may lead to delays or changes to scheduled travel within France and to/from the UK. Please consult your travel operator for the latest updates."
It adds: "Demonstrations can take place in France, often in major cities. If demonstrations do turn violent, a heavy police/gendarmerie presence is to be expected. In all cases, you should avoid demonstrations wherever possible and follow the advice of the local authorities."
