France starting XI vs England 'revealed' for World Cup quarter-final amid Deschamps decision

England take on France in a huge World Cup quarter-final clash tonight with Gareth Southgate set to named an unchanged side from the win over Senegal. The Three Lions will be hoping to beat the reigning world champions and book their place in the semi-finals.

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka looks set to retain his place in the attack alongside Harry Kane and Manchester City's Phil Foden. England beat Senegal 3-0 in their last 16 tie to progress into the quarter-finals after going unbeaten throughout their Group B fixtures.

Plenty of talk before the match has been about how the Three Lions will cope against France star Kylian Mbappe, who is the tournament's top goalscorer. Southgate looks set to stick with a back four rather than switching to a back five as he did against Germany in the Euro 2020 knockout stages.

England have looked in good form throughout the tournament having kept three clean sheets in a row, only conceding late goals against Iran in the first group game. A 3-0 win over Senegal also helped them to record their 12th goal of the tournament

The manager has been criticised of failing to get results against the best teams, and tests don't come much bigger than Didier Deschamps' side. Les Bleus have dealt with a host of injury issues to progress to this stage, beating Poland 3-0 in the last-16.

Didier Deschamps looks set to field an unchanged lineup against England as they hope to reach the semi-finals and send the Three Lions out of the tournament. Even without Christopher Nkunku and Karim Benzema in attack, as well as N'Golo Kante and Paul Pogba in midfield, France have one of the most formidable teams in the world.

Reported France XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, Hernandez; Rabiot, Tchouameni; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Giroud.
