The French oil giant TotalEnergies will stop buying oil and petroleum products from Russia by the end of this year, after facing criticism over its inaction following the invasion of Ukraine. The company will, however, continue buying Russian gas. CEO Patrick Pouyanné told French radio the move would not put the future of the firm at risk. Also today, Russia cuts flows through a pipeline from Kazakhstan in order to repair damaged equipment, creating a further complication for oil supplies.
