Fran Allen considers her Love Island co-stars for bridesmaid roles at upcoming wedding

Love Island's Francesca Allen has teased that some of her co-stars could be bridesmaids at her wedding.

The 26-year-old, who failed to find love on the hit ITV2 dating show in 2019, is set to tie the knot with businessman Ed Crossan after the pair got engaged last Christmas.

Francesca formed some close friendships during her stint on the series and has revealed that she would like some of her fellow contestants to have major roles in her impending nuptials.

She told OK! Online : “[My friends from Love Island are] 100 per cent going to be part of my wedding. I’m considering a few of them as bridesmaids to be fair, so they’ll definitely be part of my special day.”

Though she has thought about who she wants to support her on the big day, Francesca admitted that she's barely done any planning.

She said: “I’ve been really chill [about wedding plans] and I haven’t really started anything yet.

“Ed keeps asking me ‘So… any thoughts?’. I definitely think I want it to be abroad; I looked at Ibiza but that wasn’t really for me. I actually went to a few viewings.”

Francesca added that she's going to scout a few places in Italy which she described as "beautiful" and said that once a venue has been locked in she can get on with the planning.

Further discussing having her wedding outside of the UK, Francesca said that “people being on holiday gives them a good, nice feel anyway”.

Francesca kept her relationship with Ed largely out of the public eye until recently, which prompted many to think the pair had got engaged after a small amount of time together.

The couple went Instagram official in November last year and announced their plans to get married just a month later.

But Francesca revealed that the lovebirds had in fact been dating for 18 months before Ed proposed.

She said: “Obviously I kept Ed away from any social media and any platforms for a long time, because I just– I don’t know, he’s quite private anyway and he doesn’t have social media, and I also didn’t want to put him out there until I knew he was my 100%.

“I've known [Ed] for so many years and it was so funny because the press was like ‘Oh Fran Allen engaged after three months’ or something, and I was like guys, little do you know, we’ve actually been together for a year and a half so…"

"My Instagram page is mainly for fashion and I love him so much and I didn’t want people to try and ruin it," Francesca went on.
