Fantasy Football Tips For Gameweek 19
This week, FPL Salah will be presenting his Fantasy Football tips that include the best Crystal Palace attackers to invest in for their good run of fixtures.
Oliver Glasner’s side are about to embark on a nice run starting with Southampton at home this weekend.
They have some really good value options and we will discuss the best ones to buy in this article.
Daniel Muñoz (£4.7m)
Daniel Muñoz should be one of your top transfer targets if you are looking for a defender. Crystal Palace have a good fixture from an attacking and defensive point of view.
They are actually the favourites to keep a clean sheet (41%) in Gameweek 19. Munoz is one of the best defenders for this gameweek as he has a chance of returns at both ends of the pitch.
He is one of the most attacking defenders in the game. The Columbian has two goals and two assists with an xG of 2.92 (first among defenders) and an xA of 0.85.
Munoz looks fantastic value at only £4.7m and he will no doubt keep a few clean sheets and get some attacking returns over the medium to long term. This week against Southampton is as good an entry point as you will get.
The Eagles then play Leicester (A), West Ham (A), Brentford (H), Everton (H), Ipswich (H) and Aston Villa (H) during the next 10.
Ismaïla Sarr (£5.8m)
The Senegalese international has had a good season and looks to have cemented his place in the starting XI with 10 starts in a row. Ismaïla Sarr has also played the full 90 minutes in the last three.
Since Gameweek 12 he has four goals and two assists and has been playing as a forward and is often among the most advanced players on the pitch.
He has also registered an xG of 3.5 and an xA of 2.5 so the underlying numbers are promising too. The Palace man has been in fine form and the tricky winger has both goals and assists in his locker.
He looks great value not only because of his ability but his cheap price allows you to upgrade elsewhere in your squad if you decide to opt for him.
Sarr is the most explosive of the cheaper budget midfielders and already has two double digit hauls to his name. He should profit nicely in Palace’s upcoming fixtures and especially at home against the Saints in Gameweek 19.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.2m)
Jean-Philippe Mateta is a great option to buy this week. He has four goals and one assist with an xG of 5.1 so is putting up good underlying numbers and he has one of the best fixtures of the season next gameweek.
Southampton have conceded the third most goals (36) and have the worst xGC (38.3) in the league. Glasner’s side could score a few here and Mateta is their centre forward and nailed to start.
He showed last season that he can be a great FPL asset with 16 goals and seven assists. Mateta isn’t only a good option for this week but long term also. He is clearly the number one forward for his side and could well get some great scores in the upcoming games.
He is also very likely the number one penalty taker as he did take the Palace’s last penalty. One to watch, I would also keep my eye on Eberechi Eze (£6.6m) who could be fantastic value when he is fully fit again.
He has fallen £0.4m from his original starting price but hasn’t really got going this season due to Palace’s bad form at the start of the campaign and his injuries haven’t helped.
He played 86 minutes last week which is promising but I would personally like to see him him get a good amount of minutes on one more game before investing.
However if you want to take the plunge this week against Southampton then it can potentially pay off hugely.
Eze could well be the next bandwagon.
