The FPL General is back for another round of FPL tips ahead of Gameweek 21 – this time focusing on the best differentials ahead of the midweek fixtures.
All 20 Premier League teams are in action this week in the first midweek fixtures of the new year.
Having looked at the last few gameweeks as well as the ownership statistics of some of the league’s biggest stars, we’ve identified key FPL differentials to target for the upcoming fixtures.
Here is the FPL General’s three players to choose when it comes to finding a differential for the next few weeks.
Potential Gameweek 21 FPL Differentials
1. Daniel Munoz (£4.7m) – Leicester City vs CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace have the best fixtures of all teams right up to Gameweek 33, with Leicester, West Ham and Brentford coming up for the Eagles.
Munoz has registered 20 goal attempts from inside the box this season. The only defender with more efforts from close range is Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol (23).
The Palace defender is owned by just 5.3% of managers, making Munoz a very good FPL differential with some favourable fixtures coming up in the next few weeks.
2. Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) – MANCHESTER UNITED vs Southampton
Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes is arguably the best captain pick for Gw21 playing at home to a Southampton side that just shipped five to Brentford last GW.
Bruno ranks 5th among midfielders in the league for xGI (expected goal involvement) this season. Only 9.4% of managers own Fernandes despite the midfielder having arguably the best fixture of the week on Wednesday.
3. Cody Gakpo (£7.3m) – Nottingham Forest vs LIVERPOOL
Firmly first choice in the league under Arne Slot having started the last eight matches, scoring five goals over that period and getting the maximum 3 bonus points on three occasions.
With Liverpool likely to have a double gameweek in 24 or 25, Cody Gakpo could be a shrewd pickup at the beginning of this year and with just 7.3% of managers owning the Dutchman he is a good FPL differential to look into.
Liverpool play Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night with Gakpo expected to lead the line for Slot yet again.
