The organiser of Foyle Pride expects it to be the event's biggest ever since it took off almost 30 years ago in Derry.
The annual festival made its return to the Maiden City this week and it will be the first time the event has been held in person since 2019 due to the pandemic.
The theme for this year's Foyle Pride is "celebrate, inspire, protest, remember", bringing in the positivity of emerging after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to MyDerry , Kathleen Bradley, chairperson of Foyle Pride, said the week-long festival will offer people the chance to come together and "reconnect".
"I'd like to start by thanking my fellow committee members - the work required behind the scenes is often unseen," she said. "All year - throughout the year - these wonderful people are coming together to plan and prepare for our community festival.
"The festival is only possible because of the commitment, dedication, and time given by the members of the committee. We're really excited to present to you the 29th Foyle Pride and I hope you enjoy the events and get involved in as many as possible."
Highlights throughout the week include a fun day on August 21, and the Foyle Pride Community Awards on August 22.
An evening with transgender champion Kellie Maloney on August 23, a showing of 'Paris is Burning' on Thursday and Drag-It-Up on August 27.
The entire week of events is leading up to this year's Foyle Pride Parade, in its 29th year this year, which will start from Waterside train station on August 27 from 2pm.
She continued: "Our Pride is all about involvement and connection - as a community, we are only as strong as the depth of our connection. So this week, let it be an opportunity to connect - and reconnect - after a long few years apart.
"I'm thrilled at the lineup for this year! We have some very exciting personalities appearing throughout the week, and I'm very grateful to them for coming to Derry, getting involved, and helping us to keep Derry on the map as a haven for LGBTQIA+ community and culture.
"This year from Foyle Pride we can expect plenty of opportunities for the community to come together and reconnect after almost 3 years apart due to Covid. With a great programme of events, there is sure to be something for everyone."
