Sinn Fein topped the polls in Foyle as the party's youngest candidate Pádraig Delargy was elected on the first count in Magherafelt on Friday.
Newly-elected Delargy, 26, who was elected with 9.471 first preferences, was also joined by Ciara Ferguson on the ninth count on Saturday evening.
The pair's election breathes new life into the party in the North-West following the departure of Karen Mullan and Martina Anderson last September.

Meanwhile, for the SDLP it was a case of as they were with the party's plan to field three candidates failing to prove fruitful.
In the end, despite Mark H Durkan's election on the first count with 7,999, former MLA Sinead McLaughlin and Brian Tierney were left in a straight fight - 30 votes coming between the pair at one stage.
But it was McLaughlin who took the fourth seat following Tierney's elimination in what was a bleak election for the party as a whole.
The constituencies' final seat, to no surprise, came down between the DUP's Gary Middleton and Ulster Unionist Ryan McCready.
However, it was Middleton who just got over the line on count 12 - edging the contest by less than 100 votes.
The overall turnout for the Foyle constituency was 61.64% - in numbers, there were a total of 77,343 eligible to vote in this constituency and of that total, 47674 voted. Comparing to the previous Assembly Election in 2017, the turnout was 65.4%.
Speaking to MyDerry following his election, Pádraig Delargy said: "This is a resounding success for [Sinn Fein] in Derry.
"People have been very clear that they want real change. They want delivery on health, housing, jobs, and the cost of living crisis.
"We'll be ready to get the Executive back up and running and get working."
