It appears the Falcons have lost their top free agent as linebacker Foye Oluokun has agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Monday afternoon.
The #Jaguars are in agreement on a long-term deal with standout LB Foye Oluokun, per @ajv. A former 6th rounder from Yale(!) hits it big. He gets 3 years, $45M with upside to $46.5M. There is $28M fully guaranteed at signing.

Oluokun’s new contract, which won’t become official until the new league year starts on Wednesday, is a three-year, $45 million deal with $28 million in guaranteed money.
The 26-year-old was drafted in the sixth round out of Yale and worked his way up to a starting role over the last two seasons in Atlanta. He led the Falcons — and the entire league — in tackles in 2022.
It was believed Atlanta wanted to retain Oluokun, but the linebacker was ultimately out of the team’s price range.
The #Falcons worked hard to retain the standout who led the league in tackles. But the #Jaguars lock him in. Busy day in Jax with Brandon Scherff and Foley Fatukasi. https://t.co/Gp8j3nTXdN

The Falcons did agree to a three-year extension with left tackle Jake Matthews, so there’s still a chance the team retains running back Cordarrelle Patterson.
