Four teenagers have been arrested by officers investigating an attack on gardai in west Dublin.
Joyriders rammed into a garda car as a mob cheered them on during the terrifying incident in Cherry Orchard on September 19. Two female officers who were in the garda car were assisted by support groups and counselling services following the attack.
Four male juveniles were arrested following an operation that was carried out earlier this morning by officers from Ballyfermot, Clondalkin and Rathcoole Garda stations. A garda spokesman said: "All four are currently detained at a number of Garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

"Gardai continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
