The Georgia Bulldogs continued their strong recruiting run on Sunday afternoon. Rashad Johnson, a four-star safety out of Bushnell, Florida, committed to the Bulldogs in an Instagram video announcement, choosing Georgia over Penn State, Louisville and Texas A&M.
Johnson is listed at 6 feet, 2 inches and 200 pounds. He is the 24th-ranked safety in the nation and the 33rd overall player in the state of Florida. He plays at South Sumter High School, where he recorded 59 tackles, seven pass breakups and an interception a season ago. He caught nine passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns on the offensive side as a receiver. He competes in track and field in addition to football.

With the addition of Johnson, the Bulldogs have 20 commits in the class of 2025. He joins four-star Jaylan Morgan as the second safety in the Bulldogs’ class, though he could also play cornerback or star due to his versatility. The Bulldogs have the third-ranked recruiting class in the country, trailing only Alabama and Ohio State.
