Elite class of 2026 safety recruit Jireh Edwards narrowed down his top schools list to just five teams including the Georgia Bulldogs. He also included Oregon, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Tennessee among his top schools. Georgia football offered a scholarship Edwards in Feb. of 2024.
Edwards is a four-star recruit from Largo, Maryland. He was a part of the Under Armour All-American Game roster with Georgia recruits Elijah Griffin and Juan Gaston. He plays for St. Frances Academy in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He is considered a top-five safety recruit in the class of 2026 and the No. 33 recruit in the nation.
Georgia doesn’t have the strongest recruiting class for 2026 yet. The Bulldogs rank 14th in the nation with commitments from four-stars Vance Spafford and Lincoln Keyes, along with three-stars Jontavius Wyman and JUCO transfer Seven Cloud.
For 2025, Georgia was looking for defensive backs. With Malaki Starks and Dan Jackson entering the draft, along with Julian Humphrey, Jake Pope, and others transferring, Georgia needed some replacements and they found a few. Zion Branch from USC, Adrian Maddox from Florida, and Jaden Harris from Miami recently transferred to Georgia.
