Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team are still hot on the recruiting trail to round out the 2024 class. The Bucks have had some huge recruiting wins as of late but looks like they have an uphill climb if they want to land four-star offensive tackle, Guerby Lambert.
Lambert, who is the No. 2 rated tackle in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings, recently listed his top four schools. They include Ohio State, Boston College, Notre Dame, and surprisingly, Harvard.
Hailing from West Roxbury, Massachusetts, all reports say this kid is just concerned about academics and faith as he is about football. To have OSU listed with the other three is a win all by itself and speaks to the family values Ryan Day preaches.
However, the call of South Bend may be too much. Lambert has received three crystal ball predictions to land with the Fighting Irish.

Lambert has been quoted as saying about Notre Dame, “… they just say how much it means to get me on their team.” Don’t think that will stop Ohio State from pursuing the coveted recruit. All signs point to Lambert announcing his commitment sooner rather than later, so we may know his decision in the near future.
Even if the Buckeyes miss out on Lambert, they are still in good position with the No. 1 rated tackle in the land, Brandon Baker. It is rumored that Ohio State has made a very good impression with Baker and is high on his list.
Landing both would be something special as the Buckeyes continue to build an outstanding 2024 class.
