An Edinburgh hotel has apologised after a tourist has hit back after a disappointing stay.
The four star Radisson Blu hotel in the city centre of Edinburgh is highly rated on Tripadvisor, with other guests giving it an average of four and a half stars on the review website. Although many highly commend it for its cleanliness, location and service, one has vowed never to return.
Taking to Tripadvisor the guest claimed they had pulled back the sheet to find a dirty mark and argued that the staff only changed the sheet, rather than the rest of the bedding.

The hotel was quick to respond and apologised that it was missed but mentioned that they did add a discount to the guest's bill.
The disappointed guest said: "I typically choose Radisson when I travel due to being a rewards member and generally having a great experience in my previous stays.
"This time was the complete opposite. It started well with early check in however when I pulled the sheets back to get ready for bed there was poop on my sheets. They didn’t change all the bedding just the sheet and when I asked management about it the next morning their response was extremely disappointing.
"I will be travelling to Edinburgh often this year and will be avoiding this hotel as I don’t want to risk sleeping in dirty beds."
To which the hotel manager replied: "We are disheartened to hear that your stay did not exceed expectations. As with all feedback we take such comments very seriously and discuss at length with the team to establish how we can improve our offering.
"In reference to the dirt stain on the sheet, please accept my sincere apologies that this was missed. We pride ourselves our services and attention to detail, therefore I am so disappointed that you your recent stay lacked this.
"I understand that once you reported the mud stain on your sheet, a member of our nights team swiftly made his way to your room to change the bedding as requested. Based on the conversations had, he felt you were happy with the solution which is what we strive to achieve in any situation.
"We do not want any of our guests leaving unsatisfied which is why we had discounted your bill on check out, it was only fair that you felt compensated. I am aware that you stay with Radisson regularly and I would hate for you not to return to us due to this reason.
"That being said, if you are to return to Edinburgh and choose to stay with us please get in contact with myself so I can personally look after your reservation and ensure that your next experience is up to Radisson standards."
The Radisson Blu boasts 2,045 reviews that rate it as 'excellent' with another customer adding: "From check in to check out we had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The room was amazing: so quiet, great view and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.
"The location is perfect on the Royal Mile and this will now become our regular ‘Edinburgh hotel’ for sure. It was spotlessly clean and there is not a negative thing to say; only praise and thanks to the staff and the facilities."
Another said: "I have stayed here several times when I am in Edinburgh. Firstly, location is as good as it gets, regardless if you want to explore the old town or doing shopping. Rooms are very nice and spotless clean. Quiet area and good beds - so good sleep quality. Excellent breakfast also. This is where I will stay when I am in Edinburgh next also."
