While the Ohio State football team currently has the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings., the Buckeyes have missed out on a couple of key prospects in recent days. But no reason to fret, Ryan Day and company still have guys that are high on the priority list to bring in.
One of those young men is four-star edge rusher, Desmond Umeozulu from Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Umeozulu is rated as the No. 19 edge rusher in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings and carries a crystal ball prediction to land in Columbus.
Umeozulu recently trimmed his list to four schools including Ohio State, North Carolina, Pitt, and South Carolina. He also shared via his personal Twitter account that he’ll be committing on August 29 live on CBS Sports HQ.
I will be announcing my commitment live on CBS Sports HQ August 29th 2022 at Charles Herbert Flowers at 11:00 AM.
All media outlets are welcomed , the event will take place inside the Helena Nobles-Jones Auditorium, everybody is welcomed! @BrianDohn247 @TomLoy247 @CHFJAGS pic.twitter.com/tl7WZRh4xP

After a couple of misses on the defensive side of the ball, Umeozulu would help ease the sting just a bit. And there are still plenty more yet to make their decisions with Ohio State still in the thick of things.
The Buckeyes currently have two defensive linemen in the class committed in Jason Moore and Will Smith.
