A boutique hotel in Merseyside has been listed for sale.
Bliss Hotel in Southport has been listed for sale five years after it was announced it would be taken over from Ramada. At the time of the purchase, the hotel was taken over along with the running of the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre before the Covid-19 pandemic forced the closure of the events space.
Now it has been confirmed that Waterfront Southport Properties Ltd has instructed the operational real estate team at CBRE, who currently have properties from across the globe up for grabs, to list the boutique hotel on the market. The four-star hotel with an underground car park is found next to Marine Lake in the town centre.

The hotel is also sat next to the location of the £75m Sefton Council regeneration plan which will see a state-of-the-art Marine Lake Events Centre built in the coming years. The hotel itself boasts 131 bedrooms and penthouses, a lounge bar, restaurant, roof garden gym, conferencing and events space, and 120 underground car parking spaces.
As well as the range of amenities, the hotel has recently undergone refurbishments to food and beverage areas, public areas and a number of hotel bedrooms. As well as the hotel, the adjacent 50,000 sqft leisure block is also available by separate negotiation.
Shaun Skidmore, Senior Director at CBRE Manchester said: "We are delighted to work with Waterfront Southport Properties to market the recently upscaled luxury boutique hotel, which is in a prime position to the progressing events centre and exciting waterfront development. The area is primed to attract a host of economic benefits thanks to this highly significant, multi-million-pound regeneration scheme."
No guide price has been released for the property with anyone interested in buying the hotel asked to contact CBRE.
