The four players Mikel Arteta could be without for Tottenham vs Arsenal amid Ben White update

Arsenal make the short trip to N17 to face arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night in what is arguably the biggest North London derby in years. A win for Mikel Arteta's side will seal a top-four finish for the first time in five years, but the Gunners will be mindful of the fact that they haven't won away at Spurs since 2014.

Arsenal have turned things around after losing three consecutive games to Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton at the beginning of last month. They've now won their last four games against tough opposition in Chelsea, Manchester United, West Ham and Leeds.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites head into this highly anticipated contest in indifferent form having won just once in their last four Premier League games. However, they produced a disciplined performance against title-chasing Liverpool at the weekend, securing a valuable 1-1 draw with the Merseyside outfit.

Both sides are struggling with some injury issues, so let's take a look at who Arteta could be without as he looks to secure three vital points away from home.

Ben White and Bukayo Saka

White wasn’t available for the 2-1 win at West Ham earlier this month due to a thigh injury, with Rob Holding deputising for the England star. He also missed the Gunners’ 2-1 win over Leeds on Sunday and remains a doubt for Thursday's trip to Spurs. Meanwhile, Saka was substituted in the final few minutes of the win over West Ham just under a fortnight ago which Arteta claimed was down to fatigue. He was also replaced by Nicolas Pepe after 68 minutes against Leeds.

What Arteta said: Ben (White) is a doubt. We’ll have to assess him; he’s feeling much better and Bukayo is the same."

Thomas Partey

Partey has been out of action with a thigh injury sustained during last month’s 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace. Arteta recently revealed that the Ghanaian midfielder’s situation is “progressing” but refused to rule out a possible return before the end of the season.

football.london understands that Partey is taking part in individual training sessions each day with the target of being back in the first team squad within the "next few weeks".

Kieran Tierney

The Scottish left-back will not feature again this season having undergone knee surgery.
