Clearer skies coming our way in June will leave room for four planets to shine through, according to experts.
Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn will be visible to anyone who has use of a telescope in the coming weeks for a rare planetary display.
All four far-away planets are due to line up close enough to be visible to the human eye in the night’s sky.

Venus will be particularly bright during the event while Mars will feature a red hue and both Jupiter and Saturn will appear with a yellowish tone.
However, they’ll only be visible in the depths of the night, so any prospective stargazers will need to set their alarm or stay up very late to catch a glimpse.
According to astronomers, the alignment will only be visible at around 4:00 am Irish time.
Even if you don’t have the luxury of owning a telescope, if the weather is particularly clear, you’ll be able to see them with the naked eye.
According to timeanddate.com, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, these planets will be visible at the following times:
- Venus, Thu 03:50, Good visibility
- Mars, Thu 02:59, Average visibility
- Jupiter, Thu 02:52, Fairly good visibility
- Saturn, Thu 01:49, Fairly good visibility
