Four people were rescued by the Coastguard after becoming stranded 'waist deep' on the Holy Island causeway.
Coastguard teams from Berwick, Holy Island and Seahouses were sent to rescue the stranded people just before 12pm on Monday.
A vehicle with four people inside had become trapped by the rising water on the road between the island and mainland. The safe crossing time had ended almost two hours earlier at 10.10am.

The Inshore Lifeboat from Seahouses Lifeboat Station arrived at the scene along with the Coastguard teams who waded over to the stranded vehicle where the four were 'waist deep in water'.
All four casualties were transferred to the lifeboat and taken to the mainland side of the causeway. Luckily they did not require any medical assistance and were met by a family member.
Posting about the rescue on Facebook, the Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team wrote: "Please make sure you check the very well publicised crossing times prior to your trip to Holy Island. If you approach the causeway to find that the road is under the North Sea, DO NOT attempt to cross!
"If you see anyone in danger on our cliffs, coastline or on the water, ALWAYS dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
The causeway road is passable twice a day, with safe crossing times based on the tides.
