The PSNI has announced four new appointments to its senior executive team.
In a statement on Friday afternoon, police confirmed the appointment of two new Assistant Chief Officers and two Assistant Chief Constables.
Mark McNaughten is appointed to the role of Assistant Chief Officer Corporate Services. He was Temporary ACO Corporate Services within the PSNI.
Aldrina Magwood is appointed to the role of Assistant Chief Officer Strategic Planning and Transformation. She is currently Director of Performance and Reform in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
Elsewhere Bobby Singleton and Chris Todd have been appointed as new Assistant Chief Constables. Mr Singleton has been serving in the role on a temporary basis while Mr Todd is a temporary ACC within West Midlands Police.
Mr Singleton joined the PSNI in 2001 and from April 2016 to May 2019, then a Detective Superintendent, he was the service’s lead for drugs, organised crime and the then newly established Paramilitary Crime Task Force.
Welcoming the announcement, Chief Constable Simon Byrne said: “Following a competitive selection process by the Board, I am delighted to welcome four new people into these senior roles.
“Each person brings fresh talent and experience to our team. This will support our plans for service modernisation and help us to deliver on the ambitions within our Policing Plan.
“Both the Service Executive Team and I wish them every success and look forward to working together with them.”
Policing Board Chair Doug Garrett added: "Appointing the PSNI leadership team is an important role for the Board and I am delighted to confirm that four new appointments have been made.
"Supporting the Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable and Chief Operating Officer role in the delivery of policing, each will play a key role as a member of the PSNI Service Executive Team.
"As a Board, we look forward to working with them in the time ahead."
