Four MPs claimed back hundreds of pounds in driving fines on their travel expenses.
Energy minister Amanda Solloway added a Transport for London £80 fixed penalty notice to claims in 2020, the Independent reported.
Tory select committee chairman Simon Hoare, former Tory vice-chairman Bim Afolami and SNP MP Dave Doogan also wrongly claimed fixed penalty notices issued by Transport for London on expenses between 2019 and 2020.
Ms Solloway and Mr Afolami claimed that the expenses were submitted in error and both repaid the charges.
The Standard has approached Mr Hoare and Mr Doogan.
The expenses were approved and paid by the parliamentary expenses authority IPSA, which has now admitted that it was wrong to do so.
It follows Home Secretary’s Suella Braverman’s controversial handling of her speeding fine.
Labour’s shadow Commons leader, Thangam Debbonaire, urged Rishi Sunak to “clamp down on the rule-breakers in his party”.
Ms Debbonaire said: “While Rishi Sunak’s MPs break the rules and try to make the taxpayer pick up the bill, working people are left struggling to cope with the soaring Tory cost of living crisis.”
The investigation into MPs‘ travel expenses showed that the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (ISPA) had approved over £1,000 in penalty charges between 2019 and 2022.
IPSA said it would ask the MPs to repay the money, and that the rules would be “reiterated”.
