The guests of a Cardiff hotel featured on Channel 4's Four In A Bed were left disappointed after a much-lauded breakfast failed to hit the spot. Crofts Hotel is run by Lorraine, a professionally trained chef, and Kate who promised the £7 breakfast would be "stunning".
Before receiving their low scoring results, Kate said: "Lorraine is an amazing chef so I would be surprised if she got any complaints, she is really good at what she does". You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
In previous episodes Lorraine "bigged herself up a little bit" and guests, Ash, Rosie, Phil, Antony and Tom had high expectations for their stay. But during breakfast, they were at first put off by the lack of a menu and then by the fact that the hotel's pets, including a cat and dog, were allowed to roam free during the meal.

Rating the breakfast a very low score of three, Phil said: "It was all going well until the cat came out and sat on the continental breakfast. So I thought that was awful. From a professional point of view that really turned me off." Meanwhile Rosie, who opted for the vegan breakfast, described it as "basic" and said: "I could definitely make this at home by myself... you could cook yourself up something a little bit nicer than this."
Lorraine was not impressed with Phil's low score, she said: "I don't agree with that score at all." and overall only Anthony said he would be happy to stay at Crofts Hotel again. Rosie and Ash were also not impressed that they found dust under the radiator and bed.
This episode of Four In A Bed is a repeat and airs again on Tuesday, April 18 at 5pm.
