Four company directors of a Russian-owned chemical plant operating in Ayrshire resigned yesterday.
According to Companies House, Andrei Borshcev, Sergei Popov, Alexandre Matytsine and Victor Lobashkov resigned from their posts as company directors from Barony Universal on Monday.
Barony Universal, based in Irvine's Riverside Business Park, is owned by the Russian parent company The Arnest Group.
The plant is listed as a perfume and toilet preparations manufacturer and boasts approximately 200 employees.
According to Barony Universal Products PLC's latest financial report submitted on December 31, 2020, the company has a turnover of almost £60 million and a gross profit of close to £15m.
Meanwhile, it was reported £925,000 of the profit and total comprehensive income for the financial year attributable was to The Arnest Group.
The four directors have been replaced by the Cyprus-based company C.A.L.M. Singularity Ltd.
The company's website was shut down sometime over the weekend.
Russian business interests have been affected across the world by sanctions imposed on the country following Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine.
